Lawmakers in both parties are talking about what a possible departure by Governor Sam Brownback would mean to efforts to solve the state’s budget problems. Hineman, a Dighton Republican, says that he and Senate Majority Leader Jim Denning have been holding regular meetings with Colyer this session.
