Lawrence Arts Center Helps Artists Become Better Entrepreneurs

With Kansas lawmakers trying to fill a massive budget hole and President Trump looking to slash federal spending, what are Kansas artists doing to prepare themselves for the new political and economic climate? One group of artists is taking matters into its own hands. The Lawrence Arts Center sponsors an entrepreneurial training program designed to help artists acquire the skills they need to become better at business. Musician Nick Carswell, who works for the Kansas Audio-Reader Network, is one of the facilitators of the program and shares this report.

The deadline for applications for the 2017 Artist INC program has been extended to Friday (January 27).  For more information, visit LawrenceArtsCenter.org.
