KU, WSU Make Cut for NCAA Women's Tourney

When the NCAA women's basketball tournament bracket was announced, the Kansas Jayhawks found out they had clinched a spot for the second straight year. They'll open against former conference opponent Colorado this Saturday afternoon in Boulder. Wichita State will also face a former Big 12 school. The Shockers travel to College Station, Texas, to play Saturday afternoon against Texas A&M. Kansas Public Radio's Greg Echlin has more.


Meanwhile...the season is over for the Lady Hornets of Emporia State.

In the NCAA Division II regional final at Lee Arena in Topeka, Emporia State's season came to a heart-breaking end when Augustana converted a pair of free throws with lesss than a second left in the game, giving the South Dakota team a 75-to-74 victory. Emporia State wraps-up its season with a 23-and-9 record.
