KU Holds Conference on Human Trafficking

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and state Attorney General Derek Schmidt say that one of their goals is to end human trafficking in Kansas. As part of that effort, the governor will take part in an event at the University of Kansas dealing with how to stop slavery and human trafficking. Hannah Britton is an associate professor and the director of the Center for International Political Analysis at KU. She says Kevin Bales...an author, professor and expert on human slavery...will deliver the keynote address at the conference, which begins tomorrow (THUR).

Governor Brownback will introduce Bales at the event. For more information on the conference, go online to visit the KU Institute for Policy and Research.
