KU Enjoys Successful Sports Weekend

KU teams won in football, men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball over the weekend.

It was one of the most historically successful weekends for University of Kansas sports teams. Kansas Public Radio’s Greg Echlin reports.

Meanwhile... the KU women’s basketball team defeated Memphis, 68-to-58. Eight Jayhawks and two Memphis players were ejected from the game after an altercation in the second quarter.

Also in Kansas college football, the Kansas State Wildcats became bowl eligible after winning at Baylor on Saturday. In the NCAA Division II football playoffs, Emporia State advanced with a victory over Minnesota-Duluth. In the NAIA playoffs, undefeated Baker advanced to the national quarterfinals with a victory over in-state rival Sterling.
