The University of Kansas will host a town hall meeting Wednesday on issues related to race. As KPR’s Stephen Koranda reports, it’s prompted by events at the University of Missouri, where the president and chancellor recently resigned.

KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little will moderate the town hall meeting. She says the recent events have intensified ongoing national conversations about race, respect and free speech. University officials want students and staff to be engaged. The meeting will be a space for people from a variety of backgrounds to share their opinions. The town hall starts at 4:00 in the Kansas Union in Lawrence.
