KS Senator Blasts Obama's Action on Immigration

File photo of Kansas Senator Pat Roberts (Photo by Stephen Koranda)

Kansas Senator Pat Roberts is blasting President Obama's decision to grant temporary amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants through executive order.

The president wants to temporarily stop deporting the parents of U.S. citizens and permanent residents who've been in the country for more than five years. But Roberts and other Republicans are challenging the president's authority to take that action without congressional approval.

Obama is also extending a program that allows undocumented migrants brought here as children to remain in the country without fear of deportation.
