KS Senate Committee Moves Congressional Redistricting Map Forward

A committee in the Kansas Senate has advanced a new congressional redistricting plan. The proposal is aimed at combating some concerns raised about previous proposals, such as opposition to moving Manhattan into the 1st Congressional District that covers western Kansas. Senator Tim Owens, a Republican from Overland Park, chairs the Senate redistricting committee.

The full Senate will now consider the map.
