KS Senate Candidate Releases Small Biz Plan

Photo by Stephen KorandaIndependent U.S. Senate candidate Greg Orman has unveiled a plan to boost small business. Orman released the details of the proposal today (FRI), as he continues a tour to meet with Kansas entrepreneurs. KPR’s Stephen Koranda reports.

Orman says the federal government needs to make adjustments to the Dodd-Frank bank regulation act to increase lending to small businesses. He says regulations should be streamlined, so businesses can work with one single office, instead of several state and federal offices. Orman also says federal regulations should be reviewed at least once per decade to see if they're still relevant and appropriate. The campaign for incumbent Republican Senator Pat Roberts quickly dismissed the plan, calling it “hypocrisy, fluff and deception.”
