KS Lawmakers Pass Budget in Final Hours of 2012 Session

Two of the final issues on the table were the budget and tax policy. After a tax agreement fell apart on Friday, Governor Sam Brownback announced he’d sign into law a large tax-cutting bill waiting on his desk. KPR’s Stephen Koranda has more on the final actions of the 2012 session, which included approving $14 billion state budget.
