KS Hospitals Preparing to Push for Medicaid Expansion

What to do about the more than 85,000 Kansans who are too poor to qualify for federal health insurance subsidies - but make too much to qualify for Medicaid - will be among the biggest issues of the upcoming legislative session. It’s an issue that Kansas hospital administrators are especially concerned about. So, as Jim McLean of the KHI News Service reports, they are working on a new plan to get legislators to expand Medicaid.
