KS Governor Speaks Out on Human Trafficking

Governor Sam Brownback

Human trafficking. That was the subject of a speech by Governor Sam Brownback at the University of Kansas last (THUR) night.  Brownback says human trafficking is the fastest growing industry in the world. He encouraged the audience to remember that victims of the crime are more than mere statistics.

Brownback also stressed the state's history of opposing slavery - saying Kansas should be a leader in efforts to reduce trafficking and help victims.
