Photo by Stephen KorandaGovernor Sam Brownback is asking Kansans to take the holiday season as an opportunity to forgive and forget. Brownback is hoping it’s a time Kansans can overcome differences and patch over old disagreements. He admits, it’s not always easy to do.
“People look at it and say, ‘I would rather avoid doing that.’ And believe me, some of the times I’ve reconciled with people I’d rather avoid doing that. But then once you’ve done it, there’s a healing that can happen and things get better. I think it’s a particularly important message for this time of year,” says Brownback.
This week, Brownback signed a proclemation asking Kansans to use the holidays as a time to reconcile.
