KS 511 Online Traveler Map System Will Be Tested

While today's (TUE) weather is forecast to be warm and sunny, the Kansas Department of Transportation's online Traveler Information map may indicate something very different. KDOT plans to test the 511 map's online capacity this (TUE) morning beginning at 9 o'clock. Barb Blue is with KDOT, and says it's all part of keeping Kansas drivers safe during bad weather conditions.

While the test is going on, people logging in to the 511 map online will see snow and blizzard conditions listed. The test will last through 4 o'clock this (TUE) afternoon. At the same time, you'll still be able to use the KDOT 5-1-1 phone service, which will have information about current weather conditions...which today (TUE) are expected to be dry and sunny for most of the state.
