KCC to Include Human Trafficking Information in Truck Driver Training

The Kansas Corporation Commission is including new human trafficking information in training for truck drivers. Mike Hoeme, with the KCC, says they’ll be integrating Truckers Against Trafficking information into normal safety meetings held across Kansas.

“By incorporating Truckers Against Trafficking training into our programs, we can increase awareness of these crimes and instruct motor carriers on the steps to take if they see or hear something that might help law enforcement,” says Hoeme.

Several thousand truck drivers go through the training classes each year. The goal of Truckers Against Trafficking is to use truck drivers to help spot and report suspected human trafficking.
