Women are playing a larger role in the agriculture industry, from working in the fields and barns to managing employees and making business decisions. The Kansas State Research and Extension network is co-sponsoring the Women Managing the Farm Conference next month. Janel Koons, a member of the planning committee for the conference, says the sessions will cover a variety of farm and farm management topics, along with updates on agricultural research being done at Kansas State.

The Women Managing the Farm Conference is set for February 9th and 10th in Manhattan.
