Kansas Senator Moran Calls for End to Election Recount Demands

Republicans are denouncing efforts to force a recount in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

As efforts continue to demand a presidential election recount in several states, many Republicans are calling the proposals a distraction and say demands for a recount will only disrupt the transition process.  U.S. Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas says he firmly believes in the public's right to protest, but he draws the line at protesting the results of an election.


Senator Moran says he believes the results of the election are legitimate and should be immediately honored. He says the protests conflict with the American tradition of a smooth transition of power.
