Kansas Moves Toward Allowing Grocery Stores to Sell Stronger Beer

The House passed a bill to allow grocery stores to start selling full-strength beer in April of 2019.
The House passed a bill to allow grocery stores to start selling full-strength beer in April of 2019.

The Kansas House has taken a step toward ending a multi-year battle over allowing grocery and convenience stores to sell full-strength beer. Currently only liquor stores can sell beer with an alcohol content above 3.2 percent. The bill now moves on to the Senate. More from Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service.
