Kansas: The Meditation State

Kansas House Majority Leader Arlen Siegfreid (SIG-freed) of Olathe has proposed that a room in the Statehouse be set aside for meditation and spiritual contemplation. Siegfreid notes that the courts have ruled meditation to be a secular practice... and has said he would help raise private funds to construct and furnish the area.  Commentator William Jennings Bryan Oleander says that reserving space for contemplation in the statehouse might be just the thing to change the level of today's political discourse.
