A Marine Corps Veteran in Wichita has been volunteering his time to play what many call the 24 hardest notes a musician will ever play... Taps.  Few melodies are as easily recognized - or as emotional - as this tune, which has become a standard at military funerals.  Today, there are so few buglers available that the military cannot always provide one.  KMUW's Abigail Wilson presents this sound portrait with Tim Emerson, a member of the group Bugles Across America.

This sound portrait was provided by Abigail Wilson of KMUW, the public radio station in Wichita.
