Kansas Bill To Make Bong Residue No More Serious Than Weed Possession

Current Kansas law imposes stiffer penalties for possession of marijuana residue, and concentrates, than for the plant itself. A bill in the Kansas Legislature would impose the lesser penalty for both.

Kansas may lower the penalty for possessing THC, the ingredient in marijuana that makes people high. In recent years, crowded prisons prompted state lawmakers to make changes to the law.  From the Kansas News Service, Celia Llopis-Jepsen (YOH-peace JEHP-sehn) reports.
