(Photo by Stephen Koranda)Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt has launched a new program to fight gang involvement. It's designed to help law enforcement, educators and the public spot gang activity. Schmidt announced the new program during a series of stops today (WED) across Kansas. Topeka Police Chief Ron Miller joined Schmidt at one stop, saying the goal is to bring attention to the issue and give people a place to look for reliable information.
The Attorney General’s office has launched the website gangfreekansas.org. Schmidt says more information will be added to the site as local communities help determine what’s needed.
