Gov Calls Europe Ag Tour a Success

Governer Sam Brownback says a recent trade mission to Russia and Kazakhstan opened the doors for more Kansas agriculture sales. The governor and Secretary of Agriculture Dale Rodman toured the eastern European countries to help market Kansas products. Brownback says the nations want to build their cattle herds and that will include buying live cattle from Kansas and other states.

Brownback says the countries could also be a market for animal health products from Kansas. There's a follow up trip to the region planned for next spring.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
