WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — The Republican Governor's Association is intensifying its efforts to help Kansas Governor Sam Brownback's re-election campaign. The group's chairman, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, will be in Kansas Wednesday to attend events with Brownback in Kansas City and Mission Hills. That announcement Tuesday came on the same day the group released a new television ad targeting Democrat Paul Davis. The conservative Republican governor is facing a strong challenge from Davis because of concerns about whether tax cuts his administration delivered may be ruining the state's finances without helping the economy. Christi will be going to a retail shop in Kansas City, Kansas, for a public event with Brownback as well as some closed events in Mission Hills before heading to Oklahoma.
