Free Cab Rides Available for Tipsy Kansas New Year's Revelers

AAA of Kansas will work with Yellow Cab to provide a free ride home for the overly intoxicated.
AAA of Kansas will work with Yellow Cab to provide a free ride home for the overly intoxicated.

Police departments throughout Kansas are asking everyone who is planning on 'ringing in the New Year' with alcoholic beverages to appoint a designated driver. But if you find yourself stuck somewhere and too drunk to drive, AAA of Kansas spokesman Jim Hanni says there is help available to get you home safely.

In Topeka, Yellow Cab received more than 600 calls for Care Cabs last year. Similar services are available in Lawrence, Manhattan, Junction City and several other locations. More information about how to get a ride home can be found on the AAA website.
