Former House Speaker: Lawmakers on Tight Schedule

(Flickr Photo by wwarby)If Kansas lawmakers are planning to implement any tax changes for the coming fiscal year, they're going to be on a tight time schedule. Former Republican House Speaker Doug Mays says the legislators also need to get back to their regular jobs and farms. He told WIBW radio that there could still be days left in the session since lawmakers still appear to be at a disagreement, though that's not a sure thing.

Legislative leaders hope to wrap up the session this weekend.
