First Nationwide EAS Test Set for Wed, Nov 9, 2011

Next Wednesday, for about 60 seconds, all radio and TV stations in America will be connected -- broadcasting the same information, simultaneously. For the first time, the federal government will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System. KPR's J. Schafer takes a look back at this system, which is designed to alert you... in the event of an actual emergency.

Again, the nationwide emergency alert test will take place, simultaneously on radio and TV stations, at approximately 1pm Central Time on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011.  So, don't freak out.  It's only a test.
