Finding Ways to Save the Lesser Prairie Chicken

A new report shows the number of Lesser Prairie Chickens is on the rise. And while the population is slowly increasing, the long-term survival of the bird remains in doubt. As Ben Kuebrich (KEY-brick), of High Plains Public Radio reports, state governments are working with cattle ranchers and oil drillers to keep the bird population up -- and keep industries clear of tougher regulation.
