The open enrollment period for the federal health insurance marketplace ended Monday night, and officials are pleased with the final results. According to Sylvia Burwell, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, 12.7 million Americans selected plans through the individual market, including four million new enrollees.

More than 101,000 Kansans are included in the enrollment numbers. Missouri had more than 290,000 enrollees this year.
