(Flickr Photo by allerleirau)Every year, the Holiday Bureau in Lawrence provides gifts and a holiday meal to about 500 low-income families. This year, more than 600 families have asked for help. The Holiday Bureau matches families-in-need with donors who are willing to provide them with food, clothes and gifts. Kyle Roggenkamp works for Ballard Community Services, which operates the Holiday Bureau.
The Holiday Bureau still has more than 380 families hoping to be adopted for the holidays -- and time is running out. Roggenkamp says they're trying to get everyone adopted before December 14.
