Douglas County Clerk to Issue New Photo IDs for Voters

Photo from sxc.huThe Douglas County Clerk's office is taking a pro-active approach to the state's new voter identification requirements. County clerk Jamie Shew (SHOO) had concerns about people who cannot make the trek to a state office to acquire an official state-issued photo ID. So members of Shew's staff are now mobilizing to go to them.

The ID cards are only valid for voting in Douglas County. Shew says processing the forms and printing the cards takes about one day. For more information, contact the Douglas County Clerk's office.
