Cross Timbers State Park: A Winter Hiking Retreat?

Nature is a living painting. One that reminds us of the beauty in the world. Commentator Rex Buchanan recently escaped from the city to walk through the natural wonders of southeast Kansas. He found that even near the dead of winter, amid the mostly barren landscape, there's still much to behold.

Commentator Rex Buchanan is director emeritus at the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas.
