Congressman John Lewis

In celebration of Black History Month, KPR Presents an encore broadcast of Congressman John Lewis. Lewis played a key role in the country’s civil rights struggle in the 1960s, and is currently serving his 10th term in Congress representing the state of Georgia. Lewis received the most recent Dole Leadership Prize, awarded annually by the Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas.
