Conference Committee Reaches Tax Agreement

 

Senator Les Donovan (left, R-Wichita) and Senator Pat Apple (R-Louisburg) during the committee meeting.House and Senate negotiators have reached a compromise on a tax-cutting plan that would reduce individual income tax rates and eliminate some business income taxes. The goal is to boost economic growth in Kansas. As KPR’s Stephen Koranda tells us, the conference committee revised the plan so it would more slowly reduce tax rates.
