Colombian President Brings Message of Peace and Hope to KU

Colombian President Juan Santos brought a message of peace and hope to the University of Kansas.  Santos, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016, spoke on the Lawrence campus Tuesday evening and called on world leaders to move more to the center in their search for peace and justice.  Here are some excerpts of his remarks, as prepared by KPR's J. Schafer.


That's Colombian President Juan Santos, speaking at KU's Lied Center on Tuesday.  The 1973 KU graduate also received an honorary doctorate from the university for his efforts to bring peace to the South American nation.

Colombian President Santos Speaks at KU, Calls for Centrism

Last year's winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Colombian President Juan Santos, brought a message of hope to the University of Kansas.  Speaking on the Lawrence campus Tuesday night, the South American leader called on the world to move to the center in its search for peace.  KPR's J.
