The City of Lawrence wants to hear from the public as it develops a city-wide, cultural plan for the future. After receiving several high-profile cultural grants, the city wants to spend some of the money on the arts, and wants to find out what area residents would like to see added to the mix. A new Director of Arts and Culture was hired to oversee the process. Christina McClelland is an Iowa native who recently worked as the public art coordinator in Denver. She explained to KPR's Laura Lorson why she was interested in taking on this new challenge in Lawrence.
