Barry Grissom, the U.S. Attorney for Kansas, steps down today (FRI), after working for the Justice Department for nearly six years. Under his watch, the office has been involved in numerous prosecutions - from gang members to drug dealers to human traffickers. His office has also been involved in thwarting would-be terrorists. Reporter Sean Sandefur sat down with Barry Grissom to talk about his time in office… and what lies ahead in his career.
That’s the U.S. Attorney for Kansas, Barry Grissom. He was speaking with Sean Sandefur, a reporter for KMUW Radio in Wichita. Grissom is stepping down from his position today (FRI). Grissom's replacement has already been named. Former First Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Beall takes over the top job in the Kansas office today (FRI). Beall is a Leavenworth native. The U.S. Attorney for Kansas, Barry Grissom, is stepping down today (FRI) from a position he's held for nearly six years. Under his watch, he' been involved in numerous prosecutions - from gang members to drug dealers to human traffickers. Grissom says his proudest achievements were helping to stop would-be terrorists from attacking Wichita and Fort Riley.
