Brownback Touts Education Proposal Before Business Leaders

 

Governor Sam Brownback is continuing his pitch for a plan to overhaul the school funding formula, saying the proposal could help the state avoid lawsuits over education finance. The proposal would simplify the funding formula and give local districts more freedom to raise property taxes. It would also include some additional money to help communities with low property tax values.  As KPR’s Stephen Koranda tells us, Brownback touted the proposal before business leaders in Topeka.
