Brownback Proposes Changes to KS Mental Health System

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback is proposing changes to the state’s mental health system in the wake of the Connecticut school shootings. The governor wants to provide more intensive case management for mentally ill persons who resist treatment until a crisis forces them into a mental hospital or prison. Jim McLean of the KHI News Service has more.
