Governor Sam Brownback says Kansas is in a position to grow its animal agriculture industry. The governor hosted a summit in Garden City on the topic. Brownback says businesses could relocate to Kansas from other areas. He says in some parts of the country, animal waste is a water pollution concern, and Kansas could attract those businesses.
Kansas has available space and grain for animal agriculture businesses. Brownback says the state could see hundreds of millions of dollars in economic growth in that industry.
