Brownback Hopes Kansans Remember 9/11 with Moment of Silence

Governor Sam Brownback recalls watching from his U-S Senate office in Washington as the second plane crashed into the World Trade Center ten years ago. At a news Conference today (FRI) , Brownback said he hopes Kansans will remember the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks during the 10th anniversary this weekend.

Brownback says the state is now better prepared for disaster response. He says law enforcement can now communicate and coordinate more easily than they could 10 years ago. Brownback also paid tribute to the 66 Kansans who have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001.
