Brownback: Avoid Outdoor Burning

(Photo by Stephen Koranda)The drought conditions throughout the region are putting many parts of Kansas at high risk for wildfires. At a meeting today (FRI) on the drought, Governor Sam Brownback urged Kansans to avoid outdoor burning.

Many counties in Kansas have burn bans in place. Brownback also announced a new state website with information on the drought. The website address is drought.ks.gov.
