Coming off a big weekend win against the Wildcats of Kentucky, the Kansas Jayhawks are back at home this week.  They face the Baylor Bears on Wednesday.  It's a match-up of two teams currently ranked in the AP's top five.  But, as KPR's Greg Echlin reports, the Jayhawks will, once again, be without the help of Carlton Bragg.

KU forward Carlton Bragg has been suspended from the team because of charges that he possessed drug paraphenalia.  A February 14th court date has been set.  KU coach Bill Self says he doesn’t have a timetable on Bragg’s return, but added that player will definitely miss Wednesday’s game.

“Obviously I told you guys (the media) last week he was suspended.  Obviously, for violation of team rules,” said Self.  “You guys can add 2-and-2.  The whole deal is he’s been suspended for violating team rules and when we found out about it we acted on it immediately.”

Self added that there is nothing new to report on the investigation into a rape that allegedly took place in December at McCarthy Hall, the housing unit for the men's basketball team.  For KPR News, I'm Greg Echlin.
