Is Arne Duncan the Darth Vader of Education Reform?

(Flickr Photo by ken fager)U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan is coming to Kansas this week, making stops in Topeka, Emporia and Kansas City. Tomorrow (TUE) afternoon, Duncan will hold a town hall meeting at Emporia State University. Commentator John Richard Schrock thinks Duncan needs to take a hard look at federal education reform efforts - and the effect they're having on teachers and students.

Commentator John Richard Schrock is a professor of biology education at Emporia State University. As a commentator, Professor Schrock speaks only for himself on KPR...and not on behalf of Emporia State University.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan's town hall meeting takes place at 2:45 Tuesday afternoon at Emporia State's Visser Hall. It's open to the public.
