Students at the University of Kansas can take a course on the study of extra-terrestrial life, taught by a former NASA astronaut. Professor Steve Hawley, who's been to space on five different shuttle missions, says part of the course work includes a discussion on UFOs. KU is one of only three institutions in the country where students can earn a minor degree in astrobiology.

The general manager of the Kansas State Fair feels secure about the safety measures in place for the annual event in Hutchinson.
