The Doulgas County Heritage Conservation Council and Lawrence Preservation Alliance invites the public to a special workshop focused on how to research and write a national register nomination. Presenter, Amanda Loughlin, National Register Coordinator, Kansas Historical Society, will share insights for those interested in nominating a historic home or business building or those who have an interest in having a church or historic site placed on the state or national register. Ms. Loughlin will also discuss how to create a designation historic district. Buildings on the state or national register may be eligible for state tax credits. The workshop will be held at the Cider Gallery at 810 Pennsylvania Street in Lawrence, Kansas.
