Outpatient Addiction Treatment Center on Oct. 19

Ribbon cutting and tours will highlight center’s role in helping
to treat substance use disorders in the Kansas City region

The Valley Hope Association will unveil its expanded Overland Park Outpatient Addiction Treatment Center on Oct. 19. Valley Hope, headquartered in Norton, Kan., offers residential and outpatient addiction treatment services at 16 centers in seven states, including Kansas and Missouri.
Valley Hope’s presence in the Kansas City area started in 1971, with the opening of the Valley Hope Counseling Center of Greater Kansas City. In 1972, Valley Hope opened a residential treatment facility in Atchison, Kan., with the Kansas City center taking on a greater role in continuing care and outpatient services. In 1980, this center moved to Mission, Kan. Now, Valley Hope formally launches its new, expanded center in Overland Park.
