Manhattan Parks and Recreation Announces Youth Choir

Chad Pape, Choir Director at Manhattan High School and long-term Music Director of the Manhattan Parks and Recreation (MPRD) Summer Youth Musical, is leading a brand new Youth Choir beginning August 31. The MPRD Youth Choir is open to students currently enrolled in grades 5-8, and will rehearse weekly to prepare for two performances during the semester, including a shared concert with the Manhattan High School Choirs. They will sing fun and exciting musical literature that will include folksongs, world music, art music, and a mix of other musical styles. Students will spend time preparing music and learning fundamental music reading skills. There is absolutely no musical background necessary – any student who loves music is welcome to join.
