Leawood Labor Day 5K Walk & Run

Description: Registration opens June 1, 2017 for the 27th Annual Labor Day 5K Run & Walk, presented by the Leawood Parks and Recreation Department and Pepsi-Cola. Whether you’re a walker, beginning runner, a veteran runner, or a wheelchair athlete, this event is for you! Join us for a morning run on Monday, September 4 at Leawood City Park, 10601 Lee Blvd. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. The closed course will begin and end at Leawood City Park in front of the tennis courts. The course runs along Tomahawk Creek Parkway. The first 400 registrants will receive a “Leawood Labor Day 5K Walk & Run” commemorative tech t-shirt. All participants will receive post event fruit and a ticket to the pancake breakfast, provided by the Leawood Lions Club immediately following the event at the Lions Shelter. Additional breakfast tickets for guests are only $5.00 (cash). Overall first place male & female will receive a plaque and a gift certificate. The top three finishers for each male and female division will receive medals.
