KU Natural History Museum Event, Votes & Views: Exploring Decisions

Date:

Thursday, September 26, 2019 - 15:00

Location:

KU Natural History Museum and Spencer Museum of Art

Description: KU students are invited to the Spencer Museum of Art and the KU Natural History Museum for this event offered in conjunction with the 2019 KU Common Book, Tales of Two Americas: Stories of Inequality in a Divided Nation. A hallmark of America’s democratic process is voting. During this event, get to know KU’s museums by exercising your vote and reflecting on your decisions. Which species will you vote to protect? Which works of art would you display in the White House if you were the president? Explore what influences your choices, how the process is affected by the views of the majority versus the individual, and more across both museums and their collections. Refreshments provided.
